Fun Summer Workouts

Let's face it, most of us do not enjoy working out! Yes, being in shape and staying in shape is extremely important, especially as you get older but most of us don't really WANT to work out. Especially in the warm summer months where you would much rather be out at a BBQ or having drinks outdoors with friends. Working out doesn't have to mean slaving away in the gym on some machine! 

Here are some creative ways to get your workout on that can also be a lot of fun! 

Roller Skating: Now this is not just a fun activity of your youth, but this can be a really great workout! Its best not to do this in peak sunlight hours and if you do be sure to put on sunscreen. Rollerskating can on average burn up to 1,000 calories per hour! So go out there and get your roll on.

Bike Riding: Another great  workout that's also fun. Whether you choose to bike in a park and take in the scenery or hit the city streets biking is great cardio. It also has been known to tone and strengthen your Legs and Glutes aka THE BOOTY! Who wouldn't want to look great in a pair of mini shorts. It can on average burn about 700-900 calories. 

Swimming: Whether you do it on a beach or in a swimming pool it's an awesome way to get some exercise. It can burn on average 600-800 calories per hour. Its a great way to cool down on a hot day, and is truly a full body workout so its definitely not for the faint of heart. If you are truly a workout warrior this is another way to feel the burn.

Exercise should be an important part of your life and it is super important to your overall health, It doesn't have to be boring, bringing some friends along can make for an even better time. It doesn't matter how you do it, Just get Moving!!!
