How to Have a Budget Friendly Valentine's Day

Valentine's day is upon us and it's time to start planning a special day with your bae. Although V- Day can definitely be one of those holidays that can break the bank, It doesn't have to be! I am all for going all out and making your significant other feel special on days devoted to love but that doesn't have to mean $200 dates and expensive gifts. Check out our few budget friendly tips for having a awesome Valentine's day for the Low Low.

1. Skip the actual day: This is actually something I have be doing for a few years simply because I despise on Holidays because I hate the crowds. It was later discovered that it can save you some coins especially if you choose to go out on a weekday which usually offers more deals such as happy hour, drink specials and food specials. Your V-Day celebration won't be any less special if you don't go out on February 14th.

2. Create a Romantic Evening in: Not only can this save some money but It be pretty fun. Break out the good plates and silverware, light a few candles and play some music. Buying and cooking a meal usually winds up being significantly less expensive than going out to eat at a restaurant. Now if neither of you know your way around kitchen, grub hub is your friend! Ordering in and plating it can be just as special.

3. Skip the gifts: While of course getting gifts is always a beautiful thing. It is not needed to show your love to your partner. Me and my Hubby opted to skip the gifts and instead do something nice for the other person. It takes a lot more thought and effort to think of something nice to do for your partner that cost nothing than to buy them a gift. It can also be more personal as this comes from the heart and not the wallet. It also of course saves you so money.

While I am all for having a good time for Valentines day It doesn't need to break the bank. Spending time with your partner and expressing your love is all that matters!
