For plus size women, finding quality workout clothes in a variety of sizes is challenging. Whether it is in fashion magazines, photo spreads or advertisements, often fashion brands do not make enough of an effort to include women of all shapes, sizes, and races. However, Nike's latest workout collection is working to change that.

Nike has launched a 44-item collection that includes sports bras, running pants and tops, athleisure, and leggings. New sizes will go from XL up to 3X and bra sizes will go up to 38E. Although the collection may not fit the needs of all plus size women, Nike has said that they are committed to expanding the collection until there is something for everyone.

"Nike recognizes that women are stronger, bolder and more outspoken than ever," Nike said in a statement. "In today's world, sport is no longer something that she does, it's who she is. The days where we have to add 'female' before 'athlete' are over. She is an athlete, period. And having helped fuel this cultural shift, we celebrate these athletes' diversity, from ethnicity to body shape."

According to Nike's vice president of women's training apparel, Nike takes has a particular eye when it comes to color selection. "We pick colors that we know flatter her form more," she said. "When we design for plus size, we aren't just proportionately making our products larger. That doesn't work because as we know, everyone's weight distribution is different."

Nike is one of the first major brands to announce this expansion. However, we hope that others start to catch on. Check out some of the looks below.
